Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Finding the W ("we", "us") handles on this website (barrent.space) and in our private publishing tool, which we use to schedule and publish our own content to our own social media accounts.
Visitors to this website
This website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking. Like any web server, requests pass through our hosting provider (Cloudflare) and our server, which may record technical details such as IP address, browser type and the page requested. We use these records only to keep the site running and secure, and we keep our own server logs for no longer than about 30 days.
Our publishing tool
We run a self-hosted publishing tool at postiz.barrent.space. It is not open to the public: only members of the Finding the W team can sign in, and it connects only to social media accounts that we own and operate.
When we connect one of our accounts (for example TikTok or YouTube), the platform asks us to approve access, and the tool then receives:
- basic account information, such as account ID, display name, username and profile picture;
- account and video statistics, such as follower counts, views and likes;
- a list of our published videos; and
- permission to upload and publish videos to that account on our instruction.
We use this information only to publish our own content and to review how our content performs. Access tokens and data are stored on our own server, which only we can access. We do not sell, rent or share this information, do not use it for advertising, and do not use it to train AI models.
The data is kept while an account is connected. When we disconnect an account we delete its access tokens; access can also be revoked at any time from the platform's own settings, for example TikTok's "Manage app permissions" or Google's third-party access page.
YouTube and Google
Our tool uses YouTube API Services. By using features that interact with YouTube you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
TikTok
Information received through TikTok's APIs is used only as described above and in line with the TikTok Developer Terms of Service.
If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply. We do not add you to any mailing list.
Children
This website and our tool are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above.
